BACnet is a widely accepted communication protocol, commonly used in building management system-HVAC integration. While HVAC systems have been lagging for years when it comes to the digital revolution, they are now shifting towards open protocol communication solutions, and BACnet adoption is increasing. That is why we have decided to add BACnet support to our gateways.

The CoolMaster Product Line, encompassing VRF HVAC communication gateways that are compatible with all major VRF brands and models, already supports BACnet. By the end of Q3,  BACnet support will be expanded to include CooLinkHub and CooPlug, our split and multi-split HVAC integration devices.

Integration in practice

When ordering one of our devices for integration, tick the BACnet activation field, and we’ll configure it accordingly. Once you receive the device, make sure you use the relevant connection ports when performing the integration. See our "BACnet Integration Guide" for the right commands and system settings.
