CoolMaster Product Line
The CoolMaster Product Line allows home automation specialists, building automation integrators, facility managers and HVAC professionals to integrate, control, remotely monitor, service, and manage any VRF or VRV HVAC system through a single interface.

CoolMaster gateways are plug-and-play solutions that do not require prior HVAC technical knowledge to install. Simply unbox, ensure the device is configured to the right HVAC brand using the built-in display, connect as indicated, and... that’s it.

The product line includes two devices:

CoolMaster fits most residential and small- to medium commercial sites where the number of indoor units is limited.

CoolMasterPro is designed for large commercial facilities that not only have numerous indoor units connected, but also require local access to technical and operational data for building or facility management solutions.

*CoolMasterNet has been discontinued and replaced by the CoolMaster Product Line, offering enhanced features and capabilities*

How It Works

VRF\VRV systems are designed with a closed communication loop between condensers and evaporators. These communication loops vary from one manufacturer brand to another. Traditionally, controlling and integrating VRF HVAC systems requires a brand-specific mediation device, as each manufacturer uses its own communication protocol.

With a CoolMaster, you don’t need to implement a different integration logic or acquire a separate device for systems from different brands. CoolMaster gateways natively connect with systems of all brands and provide a unified interface for integrating HVAC control and monitoring capabilities into your preferred home automation or building management system.

Each CoolMaster creates a bi-directional, universal communication channel between VRF HVAC and automation systems, enabling integrators and HVAC professionals to:

  • Perform native VRF HVAC integration with home and building automation systems
  • Use CoolAutomation’s application suites, which include tools for VRF system management, monitoring, diagnostics, and control.
  • Connect VRF HVAC systems to leading smart home platforms (such as Apple Home and Alexa), voice assistants, IoT devices, and smart thermostats.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a CoolMaster operate while simultaneously connected to HVAC systems of multiple brands?

Yes, CoolMaster devices support a wide range of HVAC brands with the same hardware configuration. Click here for specific compatibility information.

Are any additional components required from HVAC manufacturers to integrate with a CoolMaster?

While no additional components are needed for most VRF systems, certain models may require an adaptor. Contact our team for detailed information.

How does CoolMaster differ from the CoolMasterPro?

CoolMaster devices are intended for use in residential or small commercial settings. As such, they are limited to 32 connected HVAC units and cannot provide access to service data through local integration (i.e., to building automation systems). CoolMasterPro devices can support up to 256 connected HVAC units while also supporting local access to service data.
