HVAC System: Daikin VRV Heat Pump
Cloud-Based Solutions: HVAC Predictive Maintenance Suite
The Stuartholme School campus was suffering from inconsistent climate control, with HVAC systems unable to maintain setpoints. In addition, routine HVAC maintenance was inefficient, time-consuming, and expensive, prompting school management to seek a remote service solution.
Using the CoolAutomation professional application and its advanced HVAC diagnostic tools, an alarmingly high current reading from the fan driver PCB was quickly identified. The issue limited the machine’s frequency, yet no fault or protection state was activated. After the fan driver’s PCB had been replaced, the rotation speed was 710 rpm, and the current draw was appropriate at eight amps. Following the repair, the school’s setpoint issues were resolved. Additionally, the HVAC system was now remotely monitored 24\7 using the CoolAutomation cloud-based suite. This facilitated proactive maintenance, significantly improving service efficiency while ensuring minimal downtime.
