CoolAutomation is pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with Macnica, Inc., a major milestone in bringing smarter, centralized HVAC management to the Japanese market.

Macnica is one of Japan’s leading value-added distributors and solutions providers in semiconductors, networks, cybersecurity, and IoT, with the technical expertise and service capabilities to support complex deployments.

Macnica will serve as a full-service partner for the Japanese market, providing a seamless framework that covers sales, installation, and post-deployment support. 

While HVAC systems play a critical part in building operation and can account for up to 70% of energy consumption, they often remain isolated within a closed, manufacturer-specific ecosystem. This has made HVAC one of the biggest barriers to creating truly smart buildings.

CoolAutomation addresses this challenge by enabling HVAC systems from different manufacturers to be connected, monitored, and controlled centrally.

This partnership represents a significant development in a market where HVAC system management has traditionally remained closed and fragmented. By combining Macnica’s local reach and service capabilities with CoolAutomation’s smart HVAC technology, the two companies aim to revolutionize building operations in Japan, balancing energy efficiency goals with occupant well-being.
