If the original controllers are installed and remain in use, CoolAutomation’s devices can and will work in full sync with them.

Our gateways will work with or without any local/central control equipment provided by HVAC vendors.

When removing a local thermostat in setups with CoolAutomation solutions, where is the temperature measured for reference?

There are two temperature measurement points for each indoor unit. One is the thermostat, but the other one is built into the unit itself. When the thermostat is removed, the unit can still be fully operational using the built-in return air temperature sensor. Can CoolAutomation’s devices operate while simultaneously connected to systems from multiple HVAC brands?
