Tpoint is a pioneering designer of outdoor smart squash court facilities, moving squash from hotel and university confines and sports complexes to open-air urban spaces.

The company utilizes a unique application that grants squash players full control over the court, including payment, finding opponents, controlling lightning, doors, HVAC, and more.

Smart, fully autonomous outdoor squash courts were built by Tpoint for the Tel Aviv municipality at Neve Sharet Country Club.

The Challenge

As part of its commitment to delivering a seamless and intelligent user experience, the Tpoint team wanted to integrate HVAC system control directly into its proprietary app. The goal was to eliminate the need for users to interact with physical control panels or download a separate application.

In addition, Tpoint sought to replicate the same smart court concept across all its global locations. However, HVAC systems installed at each site may differ by brand or configuration. This meant Tpoint needed a flexible integration solution that could support varying HVAC equipment without requiring custom development for each new site.

The Solution

To avoid the limitations of traditional integration methods, which typically require complex, site-specific development, Tpoint implemented CoolAutomation’s Developer API (REST API platform).

This was achieved using CoolMaster gateways, which connect directly to the on-site HVAC system. The device then enables secure communication with CoolAutomation’s cloud, allowing Tpoint’s app to interface with HVAC systems through a unified API.

This setup enables squash players to control the climate directly through the Tpoint app, eliminating the need for physical panels or additional apps.

As CoolMaster gateways natively support VRF/VRV systems from all major brands and communicate through a standardized API, Tpoint can replicate this integration model across its courts regardless of the HVAC equipment used.
