Founded in 2024, Cache is a distributor and technical partner for systems integrators in the GCC, helping them deliver state-of-the-art home automation and audio-visual solutions.

The Challenge

As a new distributor entering a competitive market, Cache needed to create a holistic solution offering that would set it apart. The company began operations providing HVAC control panels/thermostats from Polar Bear Design, along with matrix switchers, HDMI and HDBaseT extenders, and AV-over-IP hardware for professional AV equipment. However, they quickly realized a universal HVAC system integration solution was missing- a critical omission. They were seeking devices that:

  • Natively communicate with all major HVAC brands, including VRF/VRV systems.
  • Provide a simple, plug-and-play installation process 
  • Support all leading home automation platforms
  • Enable reliable bi-directional communication for control and feedback

The Solution

While seeking the missing piece in their product portfolio, the Cache team learned about CoolAutomation, a partner of existing supplier Polar Bear Design, and realized they had found what they were looking for.

Although Cache already sold HVAC control panels, CoolAutomation’s CoolMaster, CooLinkBridge, and CoolPlug devices provided the system-level integration layer required to reliably tie HVAC systems into the wider automation architecture.

As CoolAutomation gateways are brand-agnostic, Cache can now furnish Integrators with a holistic solution applicable to projects with a variety of setups and requirements. The devices’ plug-and-play setup shortened the learning curve and accelerated adoption among existing Cache dealers, who were able to start streamlining installations almost immediately.
