CooLink is a versatile seamless Control adapter that allows controlling of single-split & multi-split air conditioning indoor units by Home Automation Controllers. Connecting such controllers through common RS232 or RS485 interfaces with the CooLink will provide end-users with full control of air conditioning indoor units parameters integrating them through Home Automation Controllers along with the integration of other controls such as lighting, curtains etc’. CooLink provides and supports ASCII commands over RS232 protocol and a standard ModBus RTU protocol over RS485

Currently, Coolink’s Interface is compatible with Daikin VRV, Sanyo and Toshiba VRF indoor units. In the future, the range will be extended to support also VRF indoor units from Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Fujitsu and others.

Interfacing Home Automation Controllers with CooLink is a simple and straight forward task requiring only common ASCII commands over RS232 or simple registers read /write operands over RS485 to fully comply with ModBus RTU specifications.

Same RS232 Interface for all VRV/VRF HVAC Systems

All CooLink models provide the same RS232 interface for all VRV/VRF HVAC Systems. So for instance, a home automation application, where a Daikin VRV indoor unit is connected via CooLink, will function exactly the same way for Panasonic VRF, Sanyo VRF, Toshiba VRF etc’. No special interface adaptation will be required to migrate from one CooLink type to another.

On/Off control, Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry mode selection, Set Temperature Control, Fan Speed Control, Swing Control (for wall mounted and cassette indoor units), Filter Reset Sign, Simultaneous control of up to 8 indoor units.

Connectivity and Power Supply

CooLink is connected to the communication line of the indoor unit. Currently CooLink requires external power supply. So an external wall mounted 220/110v power supply unit and adaptor are supplied with the unit. Future designs won’t require any additional power supply unit.
